We help in:

Hospital can be a very scary environment for the elderly and a stressful time for their families. Many families are now geographically dispersed, and it can prove difficult for families to attend when non-emergency hospitalisation is required. Many people would welcome basic companionship during this time. The Patient Care Service will include activities such as:

  • Spending time with the client before and shortly after a hospital procedure.
  • Arranging any home-life appointments if any were left hanging in the rush to attend hospital
  • Providing transportation when being discharged and back to the hospital for future visits
  • Visiting the client during hospital visiting time when no friends or relatives are available
  • Providing families with regular contact and updates during this time.

We also provide home care Preparation Service:

  • It is likely in many cases that the hospital visit was unplanned and activities around the house were unfinished or ill prepared. The Home Preparation Service will tidy up the home so that the client has a safe and pleasant home to return to. This service will include activities such as:
  • Organising mail and appointments
  • Shopping for basic groceries
  • Cleaning the home, changing bedding, etc.

Home Help Service:

To allow clients to live independently at home for as long as possible we provide a range of services. This will be for a minimum of 2 hour per visit up to a maximum of 24 hours a day. It may cover activities such as:

  • Shopping and the preparation of meals
  • Organising mail and appointments
  • Shopping for groceries
  • Cleaning the home, changing bedding, etc

Companionship Service:

  • Many older people become isolated and lonely, which can lead to depression. They may simply need our companionship services
  • Activities such as reading
  • Reminiscing about events which happened in their lives
  • Providing reminders about medication and other doctors’ orders.

Respite Care Service:

In many homes in the UK, an elderly relative is now cared for by one of their own family. This can be an over burdening commitment on the family who believe they have no other choice. When a person requires constant care and attention, the Respite Care Service helps the family caregiver maintain their own emotional and personal well-being. The primary benefit of this service is to give the family caregiver a break from providing care. The service can cover anything from giving the family a couple of hours break to proving 24-hour support whilst they take a much-needed holiday.
